Universita Degli Studi Di Torino (UNITO)
The University of Turin (UNITO) is one of the largest Italian Universities, and is deeply involved in scientific research and manages roughly 500 projects per year. Researchers from two Departments of UNITO are involved in the SUSINCHAIN project: 1. Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA) which perform research to deliver knowledge and innovation, and provide evidence-based sustainable solutions to current and future challenges. DISAFA has a strong experience on animal husbandry and agriculture. 2. Department of Veterinary Science (DSV) which promotes first rate teaching to enable high standards of learning and research in several fields of veterinary science, with particular concern aimed to guarantee the welfare and health of animals, human beings and the environment. In the SUSINCHAIN project, UNITO is leading WP4 and runs trials on fish and broilers, both at research facility and farm levels. UNITO will assess performances but also health and quality parameters.
