Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL)

KU Leuven is a research-intensive and internationally oriented university offering academic education based on high-level scientific research. KU Leuven performs fundamental and applied multidisciplinary research and strives towards international excellence by active cooperation with partners around the world. As a result, KU Leuven was identified as the most innovative university in Europe for four years in a row since 2016. Lab4Food, the partner in SUSINCHAIN, is a multidisciplinary research group located on the KU Leuven campus in Geel. The expertise of Lab4Food includes texture and rheology, microbiological and chemical research. Since several years, the research focuses on insects for food, feed, as source of biochemicals and as waste converter. The mission of Lab4Food is to perform research at the interface of technology, safety, nutrition and sustainability to create added value for stakeholders.
